Oldest historically Black congregation in the Diocese of West Texas. Now a vibrant, inclusive, multicultural center of worship and witness on the San Antonio's East Side. Liturgically "high church," St. Philip's offers Holy Eucharist, Rite II from the Prayer Book, Hymnal, LEVAS (the African American Hymnal), and other resources.

Ongoing commitment opportunities

St. Philips Church has an ongoing and historic relationship with St. Philip's College in San Antonio. Founded in 1898 to provide educational opportunities to young African America women, St. Philips College is now part of the Alamo Colleges, serving over 11,000 students. St. Philips is recognized as an Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution.  Many of the members of St. Philips Church volunteer or are part of the faculty of SPC.
