St. Augustine's Church

Share a story

St. Augustine's is a parish community on the East side of Kansas City, Missouri.  We have been proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in this city since 1882.  We worship in the classic Anglican Prayerbook style with both traditional and Gospel hymns used in our liturgies.  We serve our community by hosting both a food pantry and a necessities pantry.  Holy Eucharist on Sundays begins at 10 am with education opportunities and Feast Day services as announced.  All are welcome at this truly diverse community of faith.

We worship using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. Our liturgies are typically from Rite II, using contemporary language. Our music comes from a variety of traditions with our hymns coming from the Hymnal 1982 and the Lift Every Voice and Sing Hymnal. We use incense on the high Feast Days of the Church Year.

Feast Day liturgies are as announced.

Confession is available by appointment or as scheduled during the Lenten Season.
