Narcotics Anonymous Meeting Location
St. Luke's Nursing Center Ministries - Established in 1972 as a mission of the Episcopal Church, St. Luke’s Nursing Center and St. Luke’s Care Center is a premier licensed nursing and residential care facility. The 95 bed skilled facility offers Medicare certified physical, occupational and speech therapy for those who qualify. Medicaid is also accepted. The assisted living apartments offer a homelike atmosphere with licensed personnel providing assistance when needed and 24 hour peace of mind. Parishioners of Grace Church are actively involved in the ministry of St. Luke’s and we offer Holy Eucharist once a week.
Meals On Wheels - A meal delivery service that provides food for seniors in the community. Many members from Grace Church participate in this program.
Regular Offerings supporting United Thank Offering and Episcopal Relief and Development
St Andrew’s Church, Marcabee Haiti - Our ministry in Haiti has been active since 1999 and includes regular visits by groups from the parish to our supported Church and School in the southern peninsula of the island. Our partnership is dedicated to providing good primary education and medical clinics for the students and their families. Grace Church has a Haiti Team of lay people dedicated to raising awareness, raising funds, and staffing mission teams to go to Haiti.
Host of Areas Womens Retreat every year
Vacation Bible School
Host of Maple Leaf Pre-School Academy - the only certified pre-school in Carthage
Host site for Carthage Family Literacy Council Little Lending Library - this dedicated group of people provides new children's books for every child born in Jasper County, Missouri to encourage parents to read to their children and support a strong foundation of reading from a young age. Many people from Grace Church are involved in this work and we regularly collect children's books to stock the Little Lending Libraries.
Knitters Group - knitters within the parish craft cold weather supplies like hats, scarves, mittens, etc., that are then blessed during Mass and then left on our fence during the cold weather for anyone to come and receive the warmth they may need.
Blessing Bags - Youth within the parish collect and put together simple bags of necessary everyday items that folks can carry in their car to handout at their discretion to those in need.
Happy Bottoms - This is a program that originated in Kansas City and with the help of dedicated parishioners from Grace Church and regular contributions from the parish has been able to spread to the Carthage area. This program provides diapers for babies and support for mothers.
No School Lunch Debt - Grace Church has committed to eliminating school lunch debt in Jasper County and regularly checks in with area schools to pay the lunch debts of any student within Jasper County.
Grace Church supports the arts in various ways and currently supports the Pittsburgh State University Solo and Chamber Music Series
St. Francis Day Offering goes to supporting the Carthage Humane Society
Summer Lunches of Love Program - Grace Church has committed to filling the gap in food assistance for students during the summer when the school year ends and before it begins again. Every week during the summer between school ending and beginning again in the fall Grace Church offers a bag of food to any student, regardless of need or qualifications, with no questions asked. 2024 has been the first year of this ministry for Grace Church and over the course of the summer has served approximately 2,000 students with food assistance.
Produce grown in our bible garden is harvested and donated to Crosslines, a local ministry which provides, among other things, food to those in need. Grace Church is the sole provider of fresh, quality, produce for Crosslines.
