At Transfiguration Episcopal Church, we seek to live our faith joyfully under the lordship of Jesus Christ, grounded in the rich tradition of the Episcopal and Anglican Church and inspired daily by the Holy Spirit. Ours is a welcoming and inclusive parish where all people are embraced as beloved children of God. Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, or searching for a spiritual home, you will find a community here that is warm, accepting, and genuinely glad to meet you.
Our congregation reflects the beautiful diversity of God’s world, with members from many racial, cultural, and national backgrounds, including the Caribbean, Africa, and beyond. This diversity enriches our worship, fellowship, and shared life together. We are a parish that values connection across generations, offering Sunday School for children through 5th grade, an active youth group for middle and high school students, and a nursery during our 10:30 a.m. service so families can worship with ease and peace of mind.
Worship at Transfiguration is heartfelt and meaningful, with sermons from our priest, the Rev. Noreen Dubay, that are compassionate, thoughtful, and rooted in the Gospel. After the 10:30 a.m. service, we gather for fellowship hour—an informal and joyful time to share conversation, light refreshments, and friendship, helping newcomers feel at home right away.
Our parish life extends well beyond Sunday mornings. We are blessed with active ministries for all ages, including the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), the Transfiguration Men’s Group (TMG), and a long-standing Scout Troop that has celebrated more than 160 Eagle Scouts over its 50+ year history. We support more than a dozen missions and ministries, are a founding member of C4, and host several Christian congregations in our buildings during the week, reflecting our commitment to partnership and service.
We also serve our neighbors in tangible ways, including our Friday Thrift Store ministry, which provides practical support and a welcoming presence in the local community. Guided by a collaborative structure of committees, parishioners are encouraged to share their gifts and voices in shaping the life and outreach of the church.
Above all, Transfiguration is a place of faith, friendship, and service—a community where you can grow spiritually, build lasting relationships, and discover meaningful ways to serve God and neighbor. We would be honored to welcome you to worship with us and become part of our parish family.
