St. John's, Broad Creek

Share a story

At St. John’s, we are historically and presently a diverse group of the Lord’s children. Our roots and impact reach back to the foundations of our Diocese, the country, and the surrounding communities that have sprang up around us. Because of this our parish is made up of a loving family that is accepting of all God’s children. We are not perfect and do not expect anyone that wants to join, visit, or even satisfy a curiosity surrounding our church to be perfect either. Our love and acceptance of others regardless of social cultural stereotypes is what has made us a home to so many for hundreds of years. One understanding we have is that God is love, and in seeking to understand God and our faith further we welcome anyone to visit and/or join us. Just know that when you come into our Father’s home, you are our family too.

Food Pantries

The Fort Washington Food Pantry is located on the second floor of the educational building of St. John’s Church. For the last 20 years, it has been open each Saturday morning to offer much-needed groceries to local families in need. Every Saturday, we feed an ever-increasing number of hungry families with bags of canned goods together with bread, frozen meat, and fresh fruits and vegetables during the growing season. We have been heavily involved with other community organizations and greatly appreciate the help of our many supporters, donors, and sponsors.
