Welcome to St. Dunstan's!
For the past 65 years. St. Dunstan's has provided a spiritual home and "shelter from the storm" for all sorts and conditions of people: local residents and passing wayfarers; families and individuals; young people and seniors; life-long Christians, and those just beginning to explore a relationship with God. If you have never been to St. Dunstan's before, or if it has been a long time since you have worshipped here, we look forward to welcoming you soon.
I hope that you will take a few moments to navigate the pages of this website and get to know this community better. Perhaps you are "just passing through," or maybe you are looking for a permanent spiritual home: Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey of faith, know that there is a place here for you.
Come share the journey with us!

Refugees Ministry
St. Dunstan’s has expanded its ministry to assist refugees and immigrants in response to the growing crisis in America. Because the problem of refugees and immigrants coming from the southern border as well as from Afghan refugees is so large and the political intransigency of the issue so difficult, St. Dunstan’s and its neighborhood seek to help where possible.
In the last year, St. Dunstan's has helped one refugee family, who came from Kabul in one of the last flights out of Afghanistan. We celebrate the progress that this family has made through their energy and determination, as well as the support from St. Dunstan's. The family has also been trying in many ways to give something back to the community and to support themselves. For example, one of the nephews has organized with other Montgomery County High School students to tutor young girls still in Afghanistan online so that they can receive academic credits.
Environmental Ministry
Do you feel called to minister to God’s Creation? Do you want to protect the local environment and all that God called “good”? If so, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church is the perfect place to be.
Located next to the popular Capital Crescent Trail and Little Falls Watershed Park, the church is made for Creation Care. Big trees shade our sanctuary and parish hall. Ferns, woodpeckers, salamanders, and other species call our rolling, three-acre campus home. They and the watershed are waiting for your help—and so are we.
Check out our Green Team!
In early 2024, St. Dunstan’s Green Team and the Little Falls Watershed Alliance (LFWA) embarked on a multi-year project to control stormwater runoff from the church’s property. Together, they will help improve the health of nearby streams, native plants and animals, and, ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay. Through rain gardens and conservation landscaping, St. Dunstan’s will become a center for environmental education, a good citizen of the watershed, and an ideal spot for outdoor meditation.
