Calvary Church, located in the heart of Cumberland Funace, was built in the 1870's and is a pristine example of American Carpenter Gothic. The Church was a gift to the Diocese of Tennessee given by Florence Vanleer Kirkman and her husband. James Pierre Drouillard. Except for a brief period during the Great Depression, the church has had a living congregation and has held regular worship services on Sundays.
It is cared for by a small congregation who believe it is their calling to reach out to serve the community and be an Episcopal presence in this place.
