Emmanuel Memorial Episcopal Church

Share a story

At Emmanuel, we pride ourselves on our commitment to beautiful historic liturgy and on our outreach efforts, including our daily sack lunch program. We enjoy being with one another in the presence of God, and we like to have fun. This parish gathers a diverse group from all kinds of backgrounds and of all ages: retirees, young families with children, grad students and faculty, singles, and teenagers. Some are life-long Episcopalians, others grew up in different faith traditions, and still others had no prior religious background. What we have in common is a deep commitment to know Christ and make Christ known; we are grateful that God’s grace enables us to transcend our differences as we meet at his altar.

Volunteer opportunities

One time opportunities
Ongoing commitment opportunities

We have regular opportunities to hand out sack lunches to the homeless as well as intermittent opportunities to be involved in packing the lunches. We also can use weekly drivers to home-deliver groceries to needy families, and summer drivers for 2 weeks of Meals on Wheels.

We are always looking for choral singers, as well as for persons interested in being part of the team for with our weekday services of Morning and Evening Prayer.

Finally, we partner with a local outreach organization and can connect those who want to make a difference with any number of service opportunities via their office.
