Trinity Episcopal Church

Welcome to Trinity! We are a lively center for ministry to the Downtown Newark community, as the sponsor of the 4th Sunday Community Dinner, as a partner with the Market Street Food Pantry, because we help local kids with the Ben Franklin Readers, and by providing supplies to the YES clubhouse. We are also the host of the Newark Area AA Intergroup. We do all this to show God's love to the world. We are just a block east of the courthouse, and north of the Canal Market, across from the Licking County Administrative Building Annex.  We offer a free community dinner at 2:30 PM on fourth Sundays.

Career Services and Education

For many years, several Trinity members have participated in a morning school tutoring program for students at Ben Franklin Elementary in Newark. This program is uplifting for tutors and students alike.

  • Trinity's Facility team works on everything to do with our building.
  • Trinity's Finance Team works on everything to do with, well, our finances.

Episcopal Church Women

Faith Formation

Trinity's Episcopal Church Women (ECW) group is an extremely active and vital part of our church. Once a month, after the 10:30am service, they have a very popular soup lunch. The money raised by these lunches has been put toward such causes as repairing our priceless stained-glass windows, and relief for natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. ECW also provides scholarships for children to attend summer camp at the Procter diocesan conference center. Other fund-raising events include a holiday cookie walk, and hosting the diocesan "chocolate fest" in 2012 that raised over $15,000 for the charitable outreach of the Diocese of Southern Ohio.

Community Lunch/Dinner

Meal Programs

On the fourth Sunday of each month, at 2pm, Trinity provides a free community meal to anyone in need. This has been a powerful ministry in our community, as we seek to provide to those in need. This is in partnership with Dennison University and the United Church of Granville.

Spirtitual Growth Programs

Children and Youth Ministries
Faith Formation

Christian education for children happens throughout the year during the 9:30 AM Sunday service.  When we have Eucharist, the children come back into the worship space during the offertory.

Bible Study for adults, on Thursdays from Noon to 2PM.  This group also discusses a book of the bible, and can cover a bit more bible than the previous group since it's all they do.
