General Information

The mission of St. Andrew's is to witness to the Good News of God in Jesus Christ.

This simple statement says that our church is one committed to carrying out witness. We are about being followers of Christ in all that we do. We believe that Christ's life itself sets the example for our lives; witness is not just saying but doing. This makes us a socially active church, one which reaches out to everyone, both well-to-do and poor. Just as Jesus welcomed and embraced everyone, we try to welcome everyone into our midst.

We are traditional in our worship, being an Episcopal church embracing the richness of Anglican theology and its expression in liturgy and music. But we strive to live not in the past, but in the present and future. We believe in our religion as a heritage for our children, hoping that they will use it as a guide to making their world a better place.

We may not have all the answers, but we welcome all your questions. The Episcopal Church does not ask you to check your mind at the door. Our ability to reason is a gift from God. The Episcopal Church in Southeast Florida strives to join the message of Christ, in which there are no outcasts and all are welcome. Walking a middle way between Roman Catholicism and Protestant traditions, we are a sacramental and worship-oriented church that promotes thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do and be as followers of Christ.
