Trinity Church

Share a story

Gathered in 1698, we are an historic Episcopal parish church in the heart of downtown Newport, Rhode Island. While celebrating our rich history, we strive to be a relevant community, welcoming all people and embracing residents and visitors alike. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated year round on Sundays at 8 and 10 am; and Wednesdays at Noon in the historic church building. All are welcome!

Newport Community Youth Choir

Arts & Culture

A program of Trinity Church intended for any young person who loves to sing, The Newport Community Youth Choir (NCYC) rehearses on Wednesdays from 4:30pm-5:30pm in the Hawes Room, located in Trinity's parish hall just across the driveway from the historic church building.

What is NCYC? A fun, challenging, awesome musical experience for young people. The primary goal of NCYC is to enhance the lives of young people in our community through participation in a top-quality choral music program. NCYC is not a church choir, but rather a community-based singing group. Membership is open to all students in grades 2 through 6.

Time commitment? The choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday afternoons and schedules concerts and other appearances throughout the year.

Ready to sign up? Great! To register your child for this exciting opportunity, or for more information,  please contact  Stephan Griffin at MusicDirector@trinitynewport.org
