Mission

Christ Church Harrison is a christian community in the Anglican tradition welcoming all who desire the love of Jesus Christ. Truly all are welcome come and see. We are a joyful group of Christians committed to worshiping Christ in the Anglo-Catholic tradition here in the quaint town of Harrison, New Jersey. 

Jesus said to his disciples that: “wherever two or three are gathered together in my name, there I will be in the midst of them.” Christ Church, Harrison is first and foremost a place where people gather in the name of Christ: to worship him, to proclaim his resurrection and to serve him. We are a small, but committed gathering of believers and seekers, dedicated to worshiping God and giving thanks for the abundance of his grace.

Our parish is a family made of very different people. We come together regularly in our beautiful, but intimate church to transform our modern lives through the practice of an ancient tradition. As an Episcopal church, our worship and common life reflect the 2,000 years of Christian tradition while at the same time existing in and remaining relevant to the world in which we live. We welcome individuals with a strong and sincere faith, as well as those who may have serious doubts and questions. Our church is open and inclusive and we are known for having a warm and welcoming congregation.
