St. Mary the Virgin, Monken Hadley is located in the Diocese of London and markets itself as "The Beacon Church", after the medieval beacon on its tower. The church is believed to have stood on its present site for over 800 years.
St. Mary the Virgin in Chappaqua, NY is considered its "sister church", as the Monken Hadley church was the architectural model when the NY church was designed, built and then consecrated in 1906.
The two churches maintain strong connections to this day.
