Trinity Old Swedes Episcopal Church

The mission of the Trinity Episcopal "Old Swedes" Church is to proclaim the good news of God in Christ by thought, word and deed and to use the gifts with which God has blessed us to mature and grow in the community of Christ through worship, prayer, study, fellowship and most especially, by loving each other and all of Gods creation.

Trinity Episcopal "Old Swedes" Church was founded by Swedish Lutheran settlers who originally worshiped in a log cabin on the site in 1703. In 1789, the congregation affiliated with the Episcopal Church and is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey. The current church building dates to 1784, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Today Trinity Episcopal "Old Swedes" Congregation is a welcoming church family of parishioners from diverse backgrounds. We are Christians who worship in the Episcopal tradition, celebrating Eucharist (communion) each Sunday. The Episcopal Church blends liturgical tradition with a socially progressive witness. We believe that ancient worship sustains and guide us in a complicated world. The good news is that there is room for you to be part of a family that is grounded in faith and open to God's new possibilities of hope. Wherever you find yourself, you are invited to come and share with us in the journey of faith in Christ!

Founded over 300 years ago by Swedes, for you!
