Looking at who we are, and at the practices that make up our identity, we realize that we major in food. Our outreach ministries are largely composed of feeding ministries, bringing nourishment to the hungry through soup kitchens and the Food Bank. Our fellowship opportunities are often centered around great food and drink, made by loving hands and shared with warm hearts. When someone in the congregation is sick, or going through a difficult time, other parishioners often show support for them with a gift of a dinner. Our worship is centered week-by-week on the Sacred Meal of Holy Communion. We see this identity as a gift from God. And, we see this as our calling from God: to nourish the hungry, and to create a space for us, and others, to be nourished by God’s spirit.
