ALL ARE WELCOME - NO EXCEPTIONS - TO WORSHIP, LOVE, SERVE AND GROW

Welcome to St. John’s Episcopal Church, a parish in the Episcopal Church of New Hampshire. We would love to have you worship with us.  Everyone is invited to come to the altar and receive the gifts of bread and wine, or if you prefer, a blessing (indicated by crossing arms over chest).

We are a community of people from various towns in NH and VT in this southern Connecticut River region.  Many of us come from backgrounds of different faith traditions.  We share a love of God and a desire to do good works as an expression of our faith as well as coming together each Sunday to worship.  Individual and group outreach is important to us.

All are welcome. We are a small parish with active lay ministry. Father Fred Chisolm leads service 3/4 of the Sundays. Lay Eucharistic Ministers lead morning prayer with consecrated Eucharist or supply clergy lead full Eucharists on the other Sundays. We have homilies by our Deacon Bill Clark or supply priests or lay members on the Sundays when Father Fred is not with us. We are blessed to hear from a variety of voices on these Sundays. We also are supported by our professional organist.

Volunteer opportunities

One time opportunities
Ongoing commitment opportunities
Opportunities for mission groups

We have affiliated with two local groups that provide supportive necessities for soldiers in Ukraine. We have shipped socks, thermal blankets, ear plugs, individual emergency med paks, vitamins and pain killers via personal contact as well as retired American military personnel.  We also donate money to specific groups on the ground.

We bring donated food items plus give from our Outreach budget to our area’s food bank. (Fall Mountain Food Bank)

We participate in annual fundraising for Church World Service CropWalk with a team of walkers/fundraisers.

We support financially a local nonprofit that supports immigrant asylum seekers.

We participate in our local Walpole Christmas Giving Tree program supporting families with requested items.

We supported financially a Warm Welcome Shelter run by another Episcopal Church in our area (Trinity Claremont).

We are currently exploring how we can partner with a local nonprofit to better serve the socialization needs of our elderly community neighbors.
