St. Andrew's Episcopal Church

Share a story

We are a small vibrant community in the Episcopal Church of New Hampshire. Located in New Hampshire’s largest city, Manchester, we are situated between Manchester West High School and Manchester West Library and the William B. Cashin Senior Activity Center.

The St. Andrew’s campus is a center of activity. Our Sunday gathering for worship, our Food Pantry, Thrift Shop, West High School collaboration and 15 AA meetings a week are the ways in which we live out our mission statement; Worshiping God ~ Serving Our Community.

After looking at us through this window, we invite you to come through our open door and visit the small church with the big heart where all people of faith are welcome at the Lord’s Table.

Food Pantry

Food Pantries

Open first & third Tuesday of each month to Manchester residents

Parish Hall  8:30 – 10 a.m. – please bring resident identification

The Food Pantry opens its doors in the parish hall on the first and third Tuesday morning of each month from 8:15 to 10.  Funded by donations from our parishioners; St. Peter’s Church, Londonderry and a portion of  St. Andrew’s Thrift Shop profits, the Food Pantry team provides nutritional support to families from all over the city.

Volunteers shop at the NH Food Bank and transport grocery items to St. Andrew’s twice each month in preparation for our parish Food Pantry Tuesdays. The majority of volunteers work on Tuesday mornings setting fresh and packaged food out on parish hall tables where pantry clients can make their selections.   Volunteers have a chance to greet their neighbors while overhearing a variety of languages. It’s a vibrant and positive atmosphere!

Thrift Shop

Shelter and Housing

Open every Saturday from 9:00 am to Noon (Closed month of July)

St. Andrew’s Thrift Shop sells good quality clothing and household items at minimal cost to neighborhood shoppers.  The Thrift Shop is open Saturday mornings from 9:00 am until noon and is located at 50 Conant Street on the first floor of the white house behind the church parking lot.  This Outreach Ministry provides an inexpensive way to purchase clothing for all ages. Shop proceeds support the church’s capital improvement projects and its Food Pantry.

Each Saturday a steady stream of shoppers visit us to clothe their children, outfit their kitchens, and decorate their homes.  The shop has household items, books, small appliances and some furniture along with all kinds of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing.  Our volunteers price, stock, and display the shop’s donated merchandise.  Children are invited to select two free books for themselves to take home. Parking is available in the adjacent church lot.
