The Pocket of Peace Prayer Service with liturgy from "Daily Prayer for All Seasons" followed by quiet centering prayer. A wonderful oasis in the middle of a busy week. Takes place online on Zoom.

The healing prayers offered at St. James Episcopal Church (near the West Street entrance, beside the Baptismal Font) during communion at the 10:00 am service are informal and guided by what people ask for when they come for prayer. All of us agree that the issues shared, even glorious thanksgivings, are held in complete confidence, not shared with anyone including the rector, or any other clergy (without permission). They are powerful moments of connection with God that do not attempt to solve problems. They are for that instant an acknowledgement of God’s presence, a receiving of that which was asked.
