Welcome

We look forward to meeting you!

Christ Church is a small but vibrant Episcopal congregation serving the Seacoast region of the Diocese of New Hampshire. We strive to live the message of Christ, in which all are welcome. Christ Church is the home of Little Blessings Childcare, which serves the greater Seacoast area, with families currently residing in over a dozen towns in southern New Hampshire and Maine. Owned by and housed in Christ Church, it continues to improve and enhance its program.Walking a middle way between Roman Catholicism and Protestant traditions, we are a sacramental, worship and service-oriented church that promotes thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do and to be.We hope to provide a space that welcomes both the spiritual seeker and the seasoned disciple so that people from many starting points can find their home in God with us. If you are seeking a spiritual home or are just exploring the life of faith, we hope you will walk with us on that journey of discovery. We are in a shared ministry with Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 High St. (Route 27) in Hampton. This new model of shared ministry allows for creativity and the use of joint resources in witnessing and outreach to the Seacoast community while allowing us to maintain our unique, individual presence in Hampton and Portsmouth. We look forward to welcoming you this Sunday.

Sacred Ground Race Dialogue Circles

Racial Reconciliation
Sacred Ground

Sacred Ground is dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. Small groups are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race, racism, and whiteness while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. The 10-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.

Sacred Ground is a resource coming out of Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives, our ministries, and our society. This series is especially designed to help white people talk with other white people, while being open to all racial/ethnic groups. Participants are invited to peel away the layers that have contributed to the challenges and divides of the present day – all while grounded in our call to faith, hope and love.
