We realize that everyone has their own story and journey through this world. Our hope as a community of Christ is to support and encourage one another along the journey while providing fellowship and love along the way. Whatever brings you to St. Patrick’s, we are glad you are here and hope that you will find a spiritual home that brings you deeper into relationship with God.
St. Patrick’s is a Eucharistic Community which means we gather weekly to share communion with one another. On the night before Christ died for us, he broke bread with his friends and asked that they remember him through continuing this practice. Each week we as individuals come together to celebrate as a community the new life given us through Christ’s death. In the Eucharistic Service we not only remember all that has been done for us, but in sharing bread and wine we are also strengthened to be the Body of Christ at work in the world.
In May of 2018 The Rev’d Jane Bearden joined us as our pastor. St Patrick’s is delighted to have Mother Jane’s energy, passion, and love of ministry to lead us in worship and formation. Kitty MacCullagh is the head of the Altar Guild. St Patrick’s is a small parish as Episcopal Churches go but each contributes to the work of building God’s Kingdom in Long Beach.
The people of St. Patrick’s are a welcoming bunch who love to share their enthusiasm for Christ through hospitality. While we are solidly grounded in the Episcopal tradition, we enjoy exploring our faith in an effort to become ever closer to God. If you are looking for a supportive and loving Christian community where people are comfortable being themselves, please think about visiting. We would love the opportunity to walk with you on your faith journey.
