Canterbury: The Episcopal Church at Ole Miss

Share a story

Thursdays at 5:00pm   Each Thursday evenings we gather together to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and then break bread together. Twice a month we will have a fellowship program after our dinner gathering.

Baptism & Confirmation  For any interested in joining the Christian faith, or the Episcopal church as a particular expression of that faith, Canterbury teams with St. Peter’s to offer Confirmation classes. Confirmation is a sacrament of commitment to the Episcopal church but the classes are fitting for those interested in Baptism, or any who have already been baptized or confirmed in the Episcopal Church and are simply interested in learning more. If you are interested contact the Chaplain, Chris Robinson (contact link).

Service  Canterbury has a long history of service in and around the Oxford community, sometimes through programs offered at St. Peter’s. MANNA, a feeding ministry started more than 10 years ago by Ole Miss students, remains a huge part of Canterbury’s outreach efforts into the community. Students also engage in work with Leapfrog, an after-school program hosted in various churches around town, and EKC, the Wednesday night children’s program at St. Peter’s.
