What later became All Saints Parish first began in 1937, when Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lansing began an outreach ministry to students at Michigan State University. In 1950, St. Paul’s purchased Sigma Nu fraternity house, 444 Abbott Rd., East Lansing. Services were held there for a few years. In 1953, All Saints became incorporated as a separate parish. The land at 800 Abbott Road was purchased in 1953, and construction began the following year. The first service in the new building was held on Ash Wednesday in 1955. There have been many renovations to the building over the years, with the newest addition being the Chapel of the Good Shepherd in 2006. All Saints has had seven rectors over the course of its history. Our current rector is the Rev. Dr. Andrew Armond.
The building is mid-century style, with a nave that seats 200 people and has a medium-size pipe organ, an undercroft/parish hall below, and a commercial kitchen that is rented by a caterer in addition to supporting parish events. There is a chapel that seats 40 in the round. We also use three Sunday School rooms, a nursery, a lounge, and a library, in addition to the church offices. Two additional rooms are leased to a long-time tenant, Abbot Nursery School.
One of our restrooms is designated as an all-gender restroom and we strive to offer accessible spaces for all.
We are a faith community that practices radical welcome to all persons, empowering our parishioners to use their gifts and talents in service to God and to their fellow people.

Volunteer opportunities
Volunteers are regularly needed for our Personal Needs Bank and Community Garden.
Ministries
Personal Needs Bank
The Personal Needs Bank, provides toiletries, toilet paper, and other supplies not covered by food stamps for low-income
families trying to make ends meet. Families are screened and sent to us by Christian Services and we distribute bags of supplies twice a month.
All Saints Community Garden
All Saints’ Community Garden is a raised garden next to the church, where we raise
fresh produce for our local homeless shelter. We also host a winter CSA distribution and their "rent" is a share donated to the homeless shelter.
