St. Paul's Church
Share a story
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Nantucket has enjoyed more than 150 years of ministry to our island community with worship, education, events, fellowship, and outreach. God has blessed us with remarkable members. While our attendance swells and our activities peak during the summer and early fall, we have a resilient core congregation and exuberant fellowship gatherings in the cold of winter. We have a legacy of gifts we share with all whom we meet in order to further establish the Kingdom of God.
Many regard our church building, located steps from Nantucket's Main Street, with its magnificent Tiffany, Connick and Willet stained glass windows, its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, and convenient location as very special. We believe that our remarkable building reflects the spirit of the people who worship in it.
If you are visiting Nantucket Island or searching for a church home, you are warmly invited to worship with us and learn more about St Paul’s Church. Please feel free to contact us, and we will be delighted to give you more information.

Church of San Juan Evangelista
Located in Camagüey Province, the economy of the town revolves around sugar production and rice farming.
In Vertientes, there is a community of believers that have maintained their faith despite hardships, especially the complete deterioration of the church - the result of their inability to maintain and repair the church for the past six decades. The parishioners continue to say: “We shall not give up and will always have faith that one day we will see our temple rebuilt.” The church property is on the main street of the town.
The Episcopal Church of San Juan Evangelista was founded in 1943. Before 1959 it was the place where many generations of “Vertientinos” were educated. Today the worship space of the congregation is completely in ruins – but their Anglican faith continues. “We gather in the living room of the rectory,” affirms Padre. Santiago, “which provides very limited and uncomfortable space for our liturgical celebrations and other community activities – but plenty of space for the love of God.”
Our primary focus at this time is helping Bishop Griselda secure partner Churches for ALL churches across Cuba, that will not only support the church with prayers and visits, but also financially, as their needs are great. To facilitate this, we have classified each church based on their current state of disrepair/needs. St. Paul's is a partner church.
