Church of the Holy Spirit

Share a story

Whoever you are and wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here. If you’re looking for a spiritual resource, a new church home, a deeper spiritual connection, a place where there is an honest and loving respect for diversity, for questioning, and for support through whatever the changes and chances of life bring you, you are welcome here.

We are an active, growing, and multi-faceted community of faith. We involve and support children and families of all kinds in every aspect of our worship, mission, education, and outreach. We encourage all our members to take an active role in our community, and offer a wide range of opportunities to learn and grow in faith, to connect with our own community and with the wider community, and to engage in meaningful outreach throughout the year.

Volunteer opportunities

One time opportunities
Ongoing commitment opportunities

The Church of the Holy Spirit welcomes volunteers to many of our ministries.  Food4Kids owes its success to a large volunteer base.  Volunteer gardening parties are held twice monthly during warmer months.  Volunteers provide goodies at weekly coffee hours which follow Sunday services. Our various committees (Outreach, Buildings & Grounds, Finance, Pastoral Care, etc.) are comprised of volunteers.  Our annual fundraising events (Holiday Bazaar, Rummage Sale, Antiques Shoe & Sale) depend on volunteers for their success.

AMAZING GRACE OF CAPE COD SUPPORT

Prison Services

Church of the Holy Spirit is one of the original supporters of Amazing Grace of Cape Cod, a one week residential camp program at Camp Burgess in Sandwich for children from Cape Cod and the South Shore whose parent is or has been incarcerated.  Founded in 2014, Amazing Grace became a stand-alone 501C3 organization in 2015 but still has strong ties to Episcopal Churches in the Cape & Islands deanery.

Holy Spirit provides many different forms of support for Amazing Grace: volunteers and monetary donations. Parishioners also support the many year-round activities of the program.

Food 4 Kids

Meal Programs

F4K works to alleviate childhood hunger on the lower/outer Cape and beyond by bringing together the Church of the Holy Spirit and local communities in the Summer Food Service Program.
