Christ Church

Christ Church is an historic church gathered more than 300 years ago with the purpose of meeting the spiritual needs of its parishioners and the community, a tradition that continues today.  Originally built in a quiet, pastoral location, Christ Church now is in the heart of the City of Quincy.  Our grounds and our faith are historic, built upon the foundations laid by our ancestors in this community and the host of saints who have come before us. Our Mission is to worship, love, and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ through the Anglican tradition.  

We know that God's Spirit is present in each person.  As a Christian community of faith, and we celebrate the diversity of the Body of Christ.  We endeavor to be a hospitable, vibrant, and forward-thinking community with worship at its heart.  We strive to be a place where the diversity of Christian belief and understanding can flourish so that we can witness with authority and integrity to the love of Jesus Christ in the world. 

All are welcome here and invited to join us at God’s Table in receiving communion and to share in our many ministries.

We believe in God who creates and sustains all things, which brings us to return to worship regularly for rest and renewal. We believe in God who animates, energizes, and inspires us, which helps us translate our faith into enquiry and wonder about the world.  Standing firmly in the historic breadth of Christianity in the Anglican Church worldwide and the Episcopal Church in the United States yet rooted humbly in the awareness of our own boundaries and limitations, we aim to welcome all, to include all.
