Located in Harwich Port on beautiful Cape Cod,Christ Church is a vibrant Episcopal community dedicated to reaching out to all people, so that they may know and live in God’s Love in Jesus Christ.
Christ Church Episcopal is an Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Massachusetts and it welcomes you to consider us your church home. Our parish is open and welcoming to all people-families, singles, young, older, married couples, children, those who are differently-abled, those with alternative families, those who are experienced church-goers and those who are lapsed, those who are new to church and those who are seekers.
Come and check us out no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. Come and join a community of faith which seeks to care for each other, for our neighbors and for all of God’s people. Ours is a community of faith with questions and not simple answers, with seeking and not with certainty, with stories and experiences. All are welcome at our Communion Table, just as all were welcome at Jesus’ table. We pray and play together. We share the meal of the Eucharist and the potluck dinners of life, coffee hours and lobster roll lunches and we feed our neighbors through the Family Pantry and Food Bank. Our service is both traditional and progressive and is “user-friendly” to all. We love to sing hymns and spiritual songs and our choir provides special music on Sundays.
We worship on Sundays at 8am and 10am. Our early service is quieter. Our 10am service has choral music. We offer classes for children during the 10am service and the children join us for communion as well. We also worship on Wednesday mornings with a service of Holy Eucharist at 7:30am, followed by breakfast and a discussion on a relevant topic. Our rector usually leads us in some study at that time. We also have a book group that meets most Tuesdays at noon. We enjoy lively discussions on the books we are reading. We also offer Bible Study on Wednesdays. Our choir welcomes new members and it rehearses on Thursday evenings at 5:30pm.

Mission/Outreach Ministry Team
The vision of the Outreach Ministry Team is to "regularly and actively seek opportunity where, through God, we can lift up a life."
The Outreach Ministry Team of Christ Church reaches out to our local community, our Cape Cod community and our global community. On an on-going basis, Christ Church supports the Harwich Food Pantry through food donations and through the sale of food cards to either Shaw?s or Stop and Shop. The Food Pantry receives 5% from each $10, $20 or $50 food card sold. The Food Pantry is also supported by the annual "Souper Bowl of Caring" that takes place each Super Bowl Sunday. During the summer growing season, parishioners plant extra rows of food in their gardens, donating their excess fresh produce to the Food Pantry.
Each year a $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a Harwich resident graduating high school. The graduating senior must plan to attend a Massachusetts Community College or a Massachusetts State University.
Christ Church has partnered with Habitat of Humanity of Cape Cod and has participated in the building of eight homes in Harwich, providing volunteer workers, financial support and food.
The Outreach Committee annually sponsors an African Team Ministries Jewelry and Craft sale. All proceeds from the sale are sent to African Team Ministries, providing funds for orphan and refugee relief and missions in East Africa.
Through the Jubilee Ministry of the Diocese of Massachusetts, the Outreach Ministry Team has committed to sponsoring the secondary education of eight Ugandan orphans.
Pastoral Care Team
The Pastoral Care team meets monthly to make sure parishioners are cared for in prayer and in visits when needed. A greeting card ministry also adds to contact for parishioners. The flower ministry provides flowers for those hospitalized or shut in at home and the "Prayer Chain" offers prayer support in acute situations.
