Mount Olivet Episcopal Church is the Episcopal Parish on Historic Algiers Point, New Orleans.
We seek to develop and maintain the light, love, and peace of God in our lives, so that these gifts may ultimately be shared with others. We are a diverse congregation. Our community is open to all without regard to age, ethnicity, race, skin color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability. We believe that all the sacraments, from baptism to communion to ordination to marriage, are open to everyone, again regardless of their background or how they identify.
Light: We hope to maximize our individual talents completely, as a cohesive whole for the full benefit of our members, neighbors, and community.
Love: We desire to create an inclusive community of faith, where all are welcome to become a part of a growing Church family whose members love God, and one another.
Peace: We endeavor to better understand and study – through instruction, worship, and guidance – God’s word for application, and incorporation into our daily lives.

Ministries
Algiers Point Little Free Pantry
Every month we take up a collection of canned goods and non-perishable food that we donate to stock the Little Free Pantry in Algiers Point.
Glass Recycling
Glass recycling is not part of the regular recycling program in the City of New Orleans. However, a grassroots company called Glass Half Full recycles Louisiana’s glass “waste” into sand and glass cullet for disaster relief and prevention, coastal restoration, eco-construction, new glass products, and so much more! They rely on donations of glass from residents and businesses throughout the city. Mount Olivet serves as a dropoff location for parishioners and neighbors.
