Our Vision

To be a welcoming, inclusive Christian community growing in faith through worship, prayer, study, and social action.

Our Mission

Our mission priority is to focus on the United Nations’ First Millennium Goal: To eradicate extreme hunger and poverty.

Worship at St. Michael and All Angels seeks to create moments of transcendence, allowing worshipers to set aside all their concerns for an hour and simply focus on God. Our services are traditional in nature and are drawn from the Book of Common Prayer.

Our Worship

The Liturgy of the Church is a great drama in which the priest and the choir are the prompters and the gathered congregation is the performer. Together we all perform for an audience of one – God.

We follow the Christian Calendar, observing the seasons of the Church Year – Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. The clergy wear vestments that add to the beauty and pageantry of our worship. Occasionally incense is used during particularly special celebrations such as Easter, Christmas, and All Saints Day.
