St. Gregory's Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church Long Beach is a community of disciples striving to live and worship in a way that changes our lives and the lives of those around us. We are a warm and caring community of families and singles, young and old, committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in the world. Dedicated to God’s call upon our lives, we work for justice, freedom and peace. As result, all are welcome at this altar.

As part of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles we worship in the common language of the Book of Common Prayer. Our Sunday services are both said (8 a.m.) and sung (10:15 a.m.). We also have worship services on Thursday mornings. A broad Church by liturgical and social standards and a devoted group of discerners, we continue to ask questions and seek God’s truth.

St. Gregory's was established in 1955 as a mission congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, attaining parish status in 1965.
