Welcome to St. Augustine by-the-Sea

We are a loving, open and socially-engaged community focused on celebration, support and connection with each other and with God. While we have been known as a church on the forefront of social change, our faith is grounded in practicing Jesus’ teachings to love one another as he loves us, and in challenging each other to follow Christ.

We believe that everyone is loved by God, no exceptions.

Immigration Services

In keeping with the Diocese of Los Angeles' resolution to be a sanctuary diocese, St. Augustine's has resolved to be a sanctuary parish with open hearts to serving immigrants and refugees.

Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE)

Economic Development

Our parish joins clergy and lay leaders of all faiths to actively support low-wage workers in their struggles for justice. Together we help workers and their families in their battles for good jobs and dignity in the workplace.
