Faith Episcopal began as a mission of St. Clements by the Sea in San Clemente in 1989. Originally the small congregation met in people’s homes, a local bank and at the Design Center in Laguna Niguel. From 1994 to 2004, they shared sanctuary and office space with Shepherd of the Hills Church.

In 2002, Faith received a bequest from the estate of Nan and White Sutton that was the realization of a dream to have a permanent home. By March 2004, space was purchased and in January 2005 construction began that turned office space into sacred space.
