Welcome to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church of Dyker Heights.  Whether you are just visiting or seeking a place to worship and a spiritual home, this web site will provide you with some information about our Parish and its activities.

St. Philip's is a historic church in Brooklyn serving communities in the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island.  We are family-type church, open and friendly to all.  If you do not have a church yet, we invite you to join us.

The Episcopal Church defines herself as being part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, those churches which owe their origins to the Church of England.

All baptized Christians share in the Gospel mission of the Church.  In addition to the mission of the laity, the Episcopal Church consists of the ordained ministries of bishops, priests and deacons.

The ordained ministry in St. Philip’s parish is exercised by the Priest-in-Charge, who has responsibility for the worship and spiritual life of the parish.  The Wardens and Vestry are elected by the parishioners and serve as a consultative body to the Priest-in-Charge.  The Priest-in-Charge is called by the Vestry with approval of the Bishop.

Holy Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday at 10:30 AM.  Participating in the Eucharist is the best way of discerning if God calls you to be a member of the parish.  You are most welcome!  As St. Philip said in the Gospel, when he was calling others to Christ:  Come and See!
