Founded in 1880, St. James of Jerusalem Episcopal Church is a radically inclusive mission of the Diocese of Long Island, located in the historic district of Long Beach, New York, but with a heart to serve all our neighbors, near and far. We seek to live together as the "beloved community" and to extend our own belovedness to God out into the world, so that everyone else might know theirs, as well. We are committed to the hard and sacred work of anti-racism and economic justice. In our mission, we seek to be faithful to the exhortation of our patron, St. James of Jerusalem: “Be doers of the word and not hearers only.”
