St. Timothy's Episcopal Outreach Center is a ministry of the Diocese of Lexington focusing on ministry in and to the people of Appalachia in and around Estill County, Kentucky. Much of our ministry involves home repair, children's ministry and community building and care. Begun in 1984, St. Timothy's is a permanent Jubilee Center of the Episcopal Church. Currently our worship centers around twice monthly Sunday afternoon celebrations of the Holy Communion and other occasional weekday services. It has often been referred to as one of the “true Missions” of the Episcopal Church in that its primary purpose is not about “church attendance” but about ministering to people in the name of Jesus Christ. Week-long and weekend Mission Trips can be held year-long and summers usually fill up six to nine months before the new season.

Week-long or weekend Mission Trips for middle school through retirees are available for home repair and/or children's day camps. Only one group is house at a single time and programs can be tailored to the needs and abilities of each group. Mission Trips and Partnerships

St. Timothy’s has hosted mission trips from many denominations for the past twenty-eight years from all over the eastern United States. Home repair work has run the gamut from minor repairs to full additions to homes and trailers. A supervisor will be with each group throughout the day. Some visitors opt for some or all of the group to provide a vacation bible study type day camp for a portion of all or each week.
