St. James Episcopal Church is one of the few Episcopal churches nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The congregation is small, but the mission is large: St. James' Church operates the only food pantry serving Prestonsburg, KY, and currently has a clientele of 150-200 families a month! The Fishes and Loaves Community Food Pantry and its "soup kitchen" are located at 256 South Arnold Avenue, Prestonsburg, KY 41653, and are open on Tuesday from 12PM t0 3 PM.
St. James is open, affirming and welcoming of all people. The Holy Eucharist (mass) is celebrated by Priest Rob Musick on Sunday at 10:00 AM in shared space at Prestonsburg First United Methodist Church at 256 South Arnold Avenue, Prestonsburg, KY 41653. This is also the church's mailing address.
