St. James Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. James Episcopal Church is one of the few Episcopal churches nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The congregation is small, but the mission is large: St. James' Church operates the only food pantry serving Prestonsburg, KY, and currently has a clientele of 150-200 families a month!

The Holy Eucharist (mass) is celebrated by Rev. Sr. Judy Yunker, OSB, at 10:00 AM in shared space at Prestonsburg First United Methodist Church. The Fishes and Loaves Community Food Pantry, the church's thrift store, and its "soup kitchen" are located at 2702 South Lake Drive, Prestonsburg, KY 41653, and are open on Tuesday from 1PM t0 6 PM.  2702 South Lake Drive, Prestonsburg, KY 41653 is also the church's mailing address.
