St. Francis in the Field - San Francisco del Campo

Share a story

At St. Francis in-the-Field, we believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.  Most importantly, we have a legacy of aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being.  Simply put: we believe that God loves you-no exceptions.

The 8:00 am service in the Church is a Rite I Eucharist primarily of spoken liturgy with the influence of pre-recorded reflective music as well as live music to create space for the worshipper to connect with the liturgy. The goal of this service is to give space for those longing for some quiet and reflection while also participating in the sacraments.

English
The 10am service in the Church is a Rite II Eucharist infused with energy and vitality. Choir/Organ/Hymnal music is blended with contemporary worship music. Acolytes (altar servers) at this service include elementary - high school parishioners. This service uses the Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal, but an easy-to-follow worship bulletin is also provided with complete service information. A service designed for kindergartners through fifth graders occurs during this service, and then children can return to their parents to participate in Holy Communion if they wish.

Volunteer opportunities

Ongoing commitment opportunities

Our mission statement is “Empowering our parishioners to provide hope, impact lives, and inspire others while encouraging fellowship in the name of Jesus Christ”.  That’s exactly what we aspire to do!

This committee meets the fourth Monday of every quarter at 6:00pm in the church office and work jointly to coordinate from current ministries updates and to identify new opportunities for our congregation to come together for fellowship, while helping different organizations throughout our local community. Projects include the monthly “Dining With Dignity” serving to the homeless in St. Augustine; Mission Backpack, a school supply drive for low-income families ahead of the school year; blood drives; and service of notes and gift cards to wounded warriors and their families on retreat.
