Grace Episcopal Church - Brandywine Hundred

Share a story

We are a tree of life rooted in God's love branching out to embrace all.

Our mission is to be a wellspring of spiritual sustenance, providing support for faith, friendship, and service.

No matter where your journey has led you, we hope it leads you here.

  • Share with us our liturgy and music, and be a part of our family.
  • At Grace, the presence, sounds and activities of children are expected and welcome in our services. We do offer a Nursery close to the Sanctuary for children through age three during the service, if you prefer.
  • We have a wide variety of activities for all ages. You are invited to join us for any of our special events or for Church this Sunday.

Be a part of Grace. Our light is always on … and we will be saving a place for you!

Ministries

CLAYMONT COMMUNITY CENTER OUTREACH

Donation Coordination/Distribution

Grace Church has long been a supporter of the Claymont Community Center, providing necessary items for their ongoing food bank. Parishioners contribute to our food drives on a regular basis with several Sundays per year designated for special ingatherings. In addition to non-perishable food items, donations of much needed paper products, spices and diapers are welcome items. If you are interested in contributing to this ministry, please contact the office.

SEAMEN'S CENTER

Donation Coordination/Distribution

The congregation of Grace Church has had a long and treasured partnership with the Seamen’s Center of Wilmington. Former member Bill Corbishley was a faith member of the volunteer team at the Seamen’s Center. Since Bill’s retirement, Grace maintains its tradition of preparing “ditty boxes” of personal items donated by Grace parishioners for the international seamen who visit the Port of Wilmington each year. These ditty boxes consist of toiletry items, notepads, playing cards and other items that help to make life far from home just a bit easier. Pictured at left is a team of parishioners wrapping ditty boxes after church on December 8, 2013.
