St. Peter's Episcopal Church

Share a story

A main church with an organ and choir loft seats 250+ comfortably. A small chapel seats 40 comfortably. A church hall easily seats 100 at tables and is attached to a large kitchen.

We also have two tenants who are with us all week. Combined, they use 7 classrooms, the church hall, the chapel and the church.

On Sunday mornings, during the 10:30 service, the children of the parish are offered the opportunity to join in a fun activity and story time that relates to the readings that are being heard in the church that Sunday. The first Sunday of the month is designated as Kid's Sunday and the children join us in church where the service is geared toward them. At holidays, special emphasis is given to recognition, understanding and celebration of the holidays and how they relate to us spiritually. A Christmas Pageant is one highlight of the Christmas season.

St. Peter's Youth Group or SPY

Children and Youth Ministries

Our youth group, called SPY, is open to all young people in middle school and high school. We emphasize having fun and service to the community. In the last year, we have discovered in ourselves a special call to mission trip work and have already begun to raise funds for our trip next summer. As a way to make money, we are having fun putting on a play this fall for the parish and singing and dancing in church on Kid's Sunday.

Men's Group

Faith Formation

The men of the parish gather on a "once in a while basis" for outreach projects, camaraderie and occasionally, work around the church. Many Saturday mornings, they gather at the church at 8am to make sandwiches and coffee then take them out to the day laborers in our community. The kids often pitch in to make sandwiches and to hand them out.

The gentlemen are also often found in the kitchen making breakfast or dinner for various fundraisers.
