St. Raphael in the Valley

Share a story

We have moved into a new facility after 50 years in a very small space. The facility sits on 4 acres of desert mesquite trees on the traditional land of the Apache people. Landscaping compliments our natural surroundings with native plants and Tombstone Roses. A labyrinth honoring the sacred symbolism often associated with Native American tribes in the Southwest was constructed in an area in the mesquite grove. The interior of the open plan worship space and fellowship hall adds to our commitment to unity and community. We are a joint ministry of Episcopal and Lutheran (ELCA) traditions and welcoming of members of many faith traditions. Our facilities are often used by other community organizations and we continue to be a welcoming instrument for the surrounding communities.
