St. Alban's Episcopal Church

People are drawn to St. Alban's for many reasons.
On Sundays parishioners worship God in a beautifully designed sanctuary where every seat is a good one. We have both Rite I and Rite II Holy Eucharist services. Every month we are treated to an Evensong performance. Our priests' sermons are Biblically-based and life-related.
Music is big at St. Alban's Episcopal Church Tucson. We have a 30-member parish choir, a young people's choir, a summer choir, choir workshops, and a handbell choir. This is in addition to special musical presentations, which include the traditional Lessons and Carols. Guest artists regularly perform on our magnificent organ that was installed in 2013.
We are a caring congregation serving the needs of all ages. Our priests and lay volunteers are out constantly visiting the sick in hospitals, nursing homes, and the homebound. Our lineup of church groups include lay Eucharist visitors, Stephen ministers, the Community of Hope, prayer chains, Wednesday healing services, and a dedicated a memorial receptions committee.
Next door to the main church building is the St. Alban's Preschool, which is widely recognized for its excellent staff and superb facilities.
The numbers of opportunities for fellowship are plentiful and fit the needs of a wide variety of folks. We do have a Parish Mardi Gras dinner event and an Oktoberfest dinner event with a Polka band. We have lively coffee hour discussions that happen every Sunday. Our Men's Group has branched out beyond studying the Bible and is tackling issues affecting Christians worldwide.
We realize that being a Christian means looking beyond ourselves and finding ways to help those who are in trouble or suffering in body and mind. Our Outreach program includes preparing Primavera meals, hand making shawls and lap robes by our Prayer Shawl group, Mothers Day food collections, school supply drives for the Imago Dei middle school, delivering bread to the poor, delivering flowers to those who are down, and more projects are on the drawing board.
We think it's a friendly place, where nametags are plentiful and smiles abound; where birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated and prayed for every Sunday. It is a place where people are appreciated and God is worshiped. We invite you to stop by some Sunday and see for yourself what it's all about.
