St. Michael's Episcopal Church

Share a story

St. Michael’s, Colonie, began as a mission of Albany’s Cathedral of All Saints in the mid-1950s, holding services at the local firehouse. Soon after, St. Michael’s obtained a permanent location nearby. Parishioners hand-built the mid-20th century A-frame sanctuary, digging the undercroft, installing a vaulted wooden ceiling, and hand-making the stained-glass windows. Over a dozen deacons and priests were fostered by this congregation. We are a prayerful, ministry-focused and scripture-based church.
