Christ Church Hudson is a community of faithful Episcopalians who seek to know of God, and to make God’s all embracing love more present and real in one another’s lives and in the life of our surrounding community. We are diverse in all respects. We welcome all people to worship with us regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, health status, or economic circumstance. We are committed to the principle that all people are entitled to the fullest inclusion in all aspects and all levels of church life. We are united in our commitment to preserving an expansive understanding of the message of Christ and our ever evolving mission as God’s people.
Throughout the history of the Christian church, there have been periods of skepticism and upheaval in the face of a changing and uncertain future. Our day is no exception. We urge all with a desire to pursue a spiritual journey to join with us as we experience God’s grace in our community. As loyal, mainstream Episcopalians, we celebrate the enlightened, progressive spirit that has made our national church, The Episcopal Church USA, a world leader in the movement to eradicate discrimination in both religious and secular life. We pledge to continue to do all in our power to ensure that this noble effort continues.
Jesus did not say, “If I be lifted up I will draw some.” Jesus said, “If I be lifted up I will draw all.” All, all, all, all. Black, white, yellow, rich, poor, clever, not so clever, beautiful, not so beautiful. It’s one of the most radical things. All, all, all, all, all, all, all, all. All belong. Gay, lesbian, so-called straight. All, all are meant to be held in this incredible embrace that will not let us go. All.
